cool little bust .Joker is always a nice character to work on.so many concepts to pull from.wether intentional or not,the cheeks give that tight scarred feel that ledger's make up had with a mix of nicholson's chemical rictus.good one

Mr Bruckner, i don't know you, but your work ,style, and book has been an inspiration/learning tool to me as well as others i am sure.dont know why you are closing your online shop, but best of everything to you and only good wishes your way.

oh yea Jake.that david looks even better ,if possible.greAT ANATOMY AND PROBOBLY ONE OF your best human figures yet.the paint scheme worked great.i admire the time you take to get it right.guessing the latex is ehe goliath trachea stuff.cool.spent tonight making molds, show you casts later
that guy
naked demon women please.

really cool Ravendark,i dig the coins overflowing the base.sweet paint up as well.the way he uses his wing like a bat is is a nice touch too
that guy
great JoshS,cant wait to see it done up.i am curious what you plan to cast him in,i assume you did a 2 part mold with some hydrocal type product, but not sure what half scale means in alien size.Misfitjake and i did some large scale crap and did a latex cast with foam ,is this your route?sorry for possibly dumb question but i am trying to get my head around molding and casting lately.
that guy
Kalkal,i am liking the head so far this time around.the profile is cool.i think you may be falling into two traps at the same time though.my whole life i have been self depreciating and overly critical of what i do and therefore never exposing my work to others .i do understand the desire to do the best one can ,but being your only critic can drown you.blah blah blub, sorry for my sappy story. the other thing is that i believe you are trying to get into detailing the head too soon.bulk the body and arms, get the overall feel and look/shape to the entire piece.then get down to refinement. sorry if i blathered on but i had a beer or 10,enjoy your sculpting and look forward to updates

thank you for the compliments all.and Ravendark for theadvice on the resin.here is the paint,i screwed up the hair as it should be thin and wispy but i may fix it in the future.

nice work JoshS.mean and cranky are what usually push my buttons but i looked at this fella a bit longer and thought he would make a great poster boy for intergalatic/species harmony .i know its for fun but it would be cool to see it cast and costumed.nice job on the texturing and real ,believable muscle structure.

i watched quite a bit of your earlyish work Sean and always dug your take on subjects, you have (a long time ago)elevated into the realm of master.great stuff, love seeing it
that guy
great GREAT great starter pieces.you should see the crap under my belt and i am still horrible.love the thickness and layers of your work.i hope you enjoy what you're doing ,you have some talent.later
that guy
nice work.for a newb to sculpting it is evident you a background in art and anatomy and such blah bllah buuu.what i mean to say is, great job for an early sculpt(which blows mine away) and i can see the promise in your work that you will only get better as you go.have fun
that guy
love the way you did the Poseidon hair and beard, you certianly captured the whatever era,and fine art way of addressing hair as shape and not strand, plus the hulk heads rock, if some one showed them to me without reference i would know them as yours.great stuff
that guy
Great stuff Baard.

found this article and not to sure how i feel about the whole thing.sad, reverent, awe, respect, kinda like i feel about Tibetan sky burial i guess.article can be considered graphic to some.reading it made think the moutians name quite appropriate http://sometimes-interesting.com/2011/06/29/over-200-dead-bodies-on-mount-everest/ Edited by todd on Apr 21, 2013 at 03:42 PM
